Templates and effects
FREE and PRO templates, effects, background, profile picture and the platform footer.
FREE has 4 animated templates, and PRO adds 6 premium ones. Each has its own background (canvas or CSS), an entrance animation and hover effects. The Appearance tab works with every template and is available on the FREE plan (colors, themes, fonts, gradient, shadow, patterns, layout). Until you change something, the template's look applies. Unique behaviors:
- Neon, Holo, Cosmos, Starry Night: a glowing trail behind the cursor.
- Pop Studio, Bento, Sunset: confetti after clicking a link.
- Aurora, Holo, Cosmos: 3D card tilt following the cursor.
- Bento: a spotlight following the cursor on the tiles.
- Matrix: typing the name in a terminal window and falling characters.
- All: a countdown block to a premiere (the date is set in the editor).
Effects respect the system "reduce motion" setting: when a visitor turns it on, animations are disabled.
Platform footer
The "Made with HiLobby" label is drawn outside your code. In FREE and PRO it is always visible; in PRO+ you can turn it off in the Appearance tab. Attempts to hide it with CSS or JS will not work and break the terms of service.

These settings work with every template. Until you change something, the look of the template applies: "
The fields show the look of the selected template. You change only what you touch; the template keeps controlling the rest. After you change the background color, the text and button colors adjust on their own, and the template's animations and effects keep working. The "Neon" template is dark, so a light background is darkened automatically. The "↺ changed" button next to a field reverts a single setting.
In animated templates the theme changes only the button color. The background, text and animations stay from the template so nothing breaks. A full palette change works in the "Custom look" template.
Pick a file from your library or upload a new one. The background can be an image, GIF or short video (muted, looped); it covers the template background.
The footer is drawn outside your code, so CSS, HTML and JS won't change it. On FREE and PRO it is always visible; it can be hidden on the PRO+ plan.

Animated backgrounds, cursor trail, confetti on click, a premiere countdown and a "Message" button. Effects turn off for people with "reduce motion" enabled. Animated templates can be combined with custom CSS, HTML and JS (PRO), but canvas animations are disabled in the preview with custom code.
